Planning Approval for the New Bluebell Medical Centre

Plans for the new Bluebell Medical Centre in the High Wincobank area of Sheffield, have been approved at a planning committee hearing on 12th October and Community 1st is now working through the conditions of the planning approval with the local authority.

Construction is expected to begin in early 2010 with the facilities complete and open to the public in Spring 2011.

The development is being delivered by Community 1st Sheffield as part of NHS Sheffield’s investment in the LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Trust) programme and demonstrates NHS Sheffield’s ongoing investment in health and community facilities for the people of Sheffield.

The medical centre will replace the existing outdated Bluebell Medical Centre and will provide GP, therapy and minor surgery facilities as well as bookable group rooms available for use by the local community.
