Darnall Primary Care Centre and Norfolk Park Health Centre in Sheffield have been shortlisted for the regional RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Awards Pro-Yorkshire 2013 under the Community Benefit category.
The RICS Awards showcase the most inspirational regional initiatives and developments in land, property, construction and the environment, with the Community Benefit category recognising an outstanding achievement in providing a facility which directly benefits the local community.
Norfolk Park Health Centre and Darnall Primary Care Centre are two new health facilities in Sheffield, developed by Community 1st Sheffield on behalf of NHS Sheffield, and designed by integrated design team bluesky.
The facilities bring a host of benefits to the local community, including the location of extended health and therapy services under one roof, more accessible buildings which have been purpose-built rather than converted from residential properties, and space for community health services to be co-located with GP services.
The results will be announced at an awards ceremony on Friday 26th April 2013 at Elland Road in Leeds.
