Norfolk Park Health Centre
Opened in November 2012, Norfolk Park Health Centre is a brand new purpose-built facility providing a range of medical services, including GP and nursing services, minor surgical procedures, community therapies and a pharmacy, whilst also acting as a hub for the local community in a state of the art, contemporary building.
The scheme was commissioned by NHS Sheffield and delivered by Community 1st Sheffield, replacing the existing outdated Norfolk Park Medical Centre which had limited space for expansion of services and poor access for people with disabilities.
The new facility brings a host of benefits to the local community, including the location of extended health and therapy services under one roof, including a more accessible building which has been purpose-built rather than converted from a residential property, and space for community health services to be co-located with GP services.
Larger clinical group rooms have been located to provide opportunity for community groups to use these spaces as bookable facilities when not in use by the practices, forging strong links with local residents.
