Since its formation in 2004, Community 1st Sheffield has delivered the most significant investment programme in primary care and community facilities across the city in recent years.

The ongoing efficient management of these flexible community facilities will be a critical part of meeting the NHS Health and Social Care reforms and efficiency savings.

The pressure will be on the NHS and its commissioners to reduce expenditure and at the same time improve standards within its existing infrastructure resources.

Over the coming years, it will be crucial for the NHS to ensure the local estate is ‘fit for purpose’ for these changes in health care delivery.
